Ulm University of Applied Science
Gerd Heilscher is Professor for “Energy Data Management for Decentralized Energy Systems” at the Ulm University of Applied Sciences and head of the institute for energy and automation. He is active in the field of sustainable energy systems since 1988 when he left University of Oldenburg after finishing his Master of Science in Renewable Energies. From 1991 till 2006 he was director of meteocontrol. His actual research topics concentrate on the combination of meteorological and energy related expertise for the further integration of renewable energies into the utility grid.
